Dedicated remote bookkeeping staff
Give the daily books dedicated attention.
Work with a remote bookkeeper on the records that keep your business or accounting firm moving. Agree what they will handle, the hours that fit your team, and a fixed monthly quote before you begin.
Discuss a bookkeeper role01 / The work
Keep the records moving, with someone assigned to the details.
A bookkeeping role can be shaped around the work your team does every week. Depending on the systems and responsibilities you agree, that may include:
- Entering and organising transactions from the records you provide.
- Reconciling bank accounts and identifying items that need your attention.
- Keeping supplier invoices and customer accounts up to date.
- Preparing orderly records for month-end review and reporting.
We discuss transaction volume, source documents, software and who resolves exceptions before setting the role. Bookkeeping support should fit your existing process, not leave unclear who approves or reviews the work.
02 / The fit
For the work that cannot wait until month-end.
This may suit a business whose records need regular attention, or an accounting firm that wants dedicated capacity for recurring client bookkeeping. You decide which tasks stay with your team and which belong in the remote role. Tell us where work accumulates, what software you use and when you need your bookkeeper available.
You can discuss relevant experience with suitable candidates and agree any practical assessment before deciding. The person, schedule and scope are confirmed with you rather than assumed from a job title.
03 / Working together
Set the routine before handing over the records.
Agree where documents arrive, how transactions are coded, which items must be escalated and who reviews the reconciliations. Set the working hours around your time zone, including any relevant public holidays or daylight-saving changes. The written agreement should cover the scope, monthly quote, staff location, confidentiality, access, leave cover, notice and replacement arrangements.
Use individual system access and keep payment approvals and review with the people you designate. Remote bookkeeping staff can prepare records, but staffing does not replace your organisation’s supervision or an appropriately registered practitioner for Australian tax and BAS services.

Need support beyond the books?
If your priority is month-end accounts, reporting schedules or financial analysis, see our remote accounting staff page. You can also return to FinanceDesk for an overview of the roles and the enquiry process.

Tell us where the books need help.
Share your software, approximate workload, tasks and preferred working hours. Please do not send financial records, client documents or credentials through the enquiry form. We’ll follow up to understand the role and discuss a monthly quote; an enquiry does not commit you to proceed.
